It’s 1994. I am in SHS 2. I am in an all-male Boarding house school. I am sleeping at the bottom of a bunk bed. On top of the Bunk bed is Cyril. At the bottom of the next bunk bed is Frank.
Every night we have a 40-minute ritual before bed. Frank will always tease Cyril that someone is sleeping with his Girlfriend. Cyril will get upset. This will turn into a heated argument getting close to a fight.
I always wondered why Cyril got upset. His “girlfriend” was in an all-female boarding house. So what are the chances of a man sneaking in every night?
But like clockwork, the ritual will play out every night. Frank will tease Cyril. And a fight will ensue.
