It’s a busy Thursday afternoon. I am quickly eating my Fried Yam chips and Fish. I am enjoying my meal. My Apple watch vibrates. It’s a notification for a phone call from my Wife. I have to hurry up. I want to eat my fish quickly and answer the call.
I see a bone hanging on the meat. I decide. It’s okay. it will go down.
Wrong! The bone is now stuck in my throat. I can feel pain when I swallow my saliva.
Now I have 15 minutes before I can pick my kids up from school. Can I keep this bone lodged in my throat? Yet carry on with my normal day. The discomfort is too much.
I place my hand in my throat. I can feel the bone. I decide to pick it out myself.
I plunge my hands inside my throat and try for the first time to pick it out.
The bone is slippery. There is too much saliva surrounding it. I try again. it’s still slippery. I clean my index finger and thumb. I go in again. I grip the bone and pull it out.
Phew! Don’t try this at home.
