Typing is one of the most important skills if you intend to earn a living or make money online.
It is practically easy and free to learn how to type online. Everyone can do it. It doesn’t matter your age. I learnt how to type from scratch in my late thirties.

The tip for learning to type is patience. You want to learn to type accurately before you speed up. You want to give yourself 3-6 months of daily practice to see improvements. It may be longer as I practice for 10 minutes every day for up to eight months. My highest typing test speed is 85 words per minute.
Where to learn
My favorite platforms to learn to type are keybr.com and 10fastfingers.com. They both serve different purposes.
If you are learning from scratch you want to begin your journey at keybr.com. Set an account and begin their tutorials. It is free. I prefer keybr.com for beginners because it has an easy learning curve. It also has a cool algorithm. The app presents you with letters you are having difficulties practicing. And thus, saves you time on retyping words you already know.
When you can type all the letters at a reasonable speed, you then move on to 10fastfingers. 10fastfingers is built on learning to type the 100 most used English words. The practice here will help you type quickly the most commons words in English.
How to learn
You need to be patient to learn to type. First focus on accuracy before speed. Practice 15-30 minutes per platform for a minimum of 3 months. Be patient. It can take up to a year.
My Take
Learning to type is an invaluable skill in the digital age.
