Tears and Triumphs: A Lesson in Letting Go

I pick up my son from school. he says that a friend of his is crying after making a mistake on a question in their exams. She is so emotional about it. She can’t help but keep crying. My son consoles her. She gathers herself a little for the next exams

However, she carries out all her exams in sadness. She just cannot forget her mistake on the creative arts examination paper.

The exam results are in for the term. It turns out. she got an A in Creative arts. And bombed the rest of her subjects.

The best option for her was to ignore the past and focus on the upcoming examinations.

We are much better off if we focus on what we can control. The past is gone. We can only learn from it.

Simply put, holding on to the past. Can be a dangerous thing.
